Comunication of Irregularities

Law no. 93/2021, of December 20, established the general regime for the protection of whistleblowers, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of October 23, 2019, on the protection of persons who report breaches of European Union law.
In this context, and in accordance with Banco BNI Europa's Whistleblowing Policy, the appropriate means of receiving and processing reports of irregularities are ensured, namely through the implementation of the whistleblowing channel platform.

Through the whistleblowing channel you can anonymously and/or confidentially share irregular, illegal or illicit facts or situations at Banco BNI Europa. These communications can be made by Banco BNI Europa employees or by anyone in general.

All communications must be made in good faith. Deliberate and unjustified use of the available communication channels may constitute a disciplinary, civil or criminal offense.

If the whistleblower chooses to identify themselves, Banco BNI Europa guarantees the confidentiality of the communications received, as well as the identity of the whistleblowers and any third parties concerned, which will only be known to the persons strictly necessary to process the complaint.

The management of the process is without prejudice to full compliance with the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data and all information relating to the complainant, the accused or third parties included in the complaint, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, the internal implementing law and other data protection legislation that may applyIn accordance with the aforementioned Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Banco BNI Europa guarantees the protection of the personal data of the whistleblower and the suspected infringer.
