Are there account maintenance fees?
The BNI Europa current account for residents in Portugal has a maintenance fee of €2.50/month + 4% stamp duty. This fee is waived for clients holding Term Deposits or active loans of €5,000 or more, or for those subscribing to one of the available packages.
What packages are available?
Essential Package for clients resident in Portugal – The package waives the account maintenance fee, grants 5 free monthly transfers via home banking, and waives the debit card annual fee. It has a fee of €5 + 4% stamp duty, which is waived for clients who maintain Term Deposits, or contracted credit, with a minimum amount of €25,000.
Advance Package for clients resident in Portugal and non-residents – The package waives the account maintenance fee, grants 15 free monthly transfers via home banking, and waives the debit card annual fee. It has a fee of €15 + 4% stamp duty, which is waived for clients who maintain Term Deposits with a minimum amount of €25,000, or contracted credit with a minimum amount of €150,000.
